چکیده

Relevance to Musculoskeletal Conditions The identification of apoptosis in pseudomembranes (PMs) of aseptically loose Total Hip Arthroplasty (THA) may offer specific target points for therapeutic modulation of osteolysis. The identification of a specific pathway leading to apoptosis contributes to our understanding of the mechanism leading to periprosthetic osteolysis and to a more rational strategy for the treatment and/or prevention of osteolysis.

Matrine inhibits diethylnitrosamine-induced HCC proliferation in rats through inducing apoptosis via p53, Bax-dependent caspase-3 activation pathway and down-regulating MLCK overexpression

The proliferation of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) cells is one of the leading causes of liver cancer mortality in humans. The inhibiting effects of matrine on HCC cell proliferation have been studied, but the mechanism of that inhibition has not been fully elucidated. Since, apoptosis plays an important role in HCC cell proliferation. We examined the apoptosis-inducing effect of matrine on tu...

CuO nanoparticles induce cytotoxicity and apoptosis in human K562 cancer cell line via mitochondrial pathway, through reactive oxygen species and P53

Objective(s): This study focused on determining cytotoxic effects of copper oxide nanoparticles (CuO NPs) on chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) K562 cell line in a cell-specific manner and its possible mechanism of cell death. We investigated the cytotoxicity of CuO NPs against K562 cell line (cancerous cell) and peripheral blood mononuclear cell (normal cell). Materials and Methods: The toxicity w...

Effect of 4 weeks of High-Intensity Interval Training on P53 and Caspase-3 Proteins Content in the Heart Muscle Tissue of Rats with Type 1 Diabetes

Introduction: Type 1 diabetes can lead to muscle apoptosis and a defect in the structure of the heart tissue. One of the main pathways of apoptosis is the pathway activated by the P53 and Caspase-3 proteins. Therefore, the aim of this study was to investigate the effect of 4 weeks of high intensity interval training on the content of P53 and Caspase-3 proteins in heart muscle tissue of Sprague-...

The cell death response to the ROS inducer, cobalt chloride, in neuroblastoma cell lines according to p53 status.

Cobalt chloride (CoCl2), a hypoxia-mimetic agent, induces reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation, leading to cell death. Divergent data have been reported concerning p53 implication in this apoptotic mechanism. In this study, we studied cobalt-induced cell death in neuroblastoma cell lines carrying wild-type (WT) p53 ( SHSY5Y) and a mutated DNA-binding domain p53 [SKNBE(2c)]. CoCl2 induced an...
